  • President Biden signed Executive Order 13985 in January 2021 which focuses on advancing racial equity and support for underserved communities. FEMA is beginning to implement recommendations made from its Disaster Recovery: Evaluation and Analysis Working Group in order to promote equity in disaster recovery and start meeting the requirements of the executive order.
  • ATCS, in partnership with AECOM and our Coordination and Planning Partners (CaPP) team members, is supporting FEMA’s efforts to promote equity in disaster recovery efforts by helping implement the Working Group’s recommendations, as well as providing support to help stand up the Recovery Equity Council and the FEMA Recovery Directorate’s equity analysis and coordination capability.
