Client: Prince William County
Survey/engineering design/public outreach/construction management for a shared-use path along Dumfries Road, Prince William County, VA.
This 1-mile project completed a critical multimodal link by extending a 10-foot wide shared-use path and connecting several communities with nearby retail.
Our success in overcoming challenges—narrow ROW, adjacent National Park Service property, converting from open to closed drainage system and significant fiber optic conduits—minimized the project footprint, reduced roadway buffer, and minimized grading/construction footprint with creative post and panel wall design. The reduced project footprint shaved a year from the schedule. The project received the 2019 CMAA NCC Infrastructure Project of the Year.
