In celebration of Engineers Week 2024, ATCS proudly joined forces with local engineering firms and societies for a special presentation of the film Dream Big in Hampton, Virginia. This collaborative event aimed to inspire over 400 middle and high school students by showcasing the incredible potential and impact of engineering. Each student left with more than memories of vivid imagery; they received swag bags filled with engineering-themed activities and memorabilia.
A Cinematic Journey into Engineering
The Dream Big film, screened in immersive IMAX 3D, took students on a visual journey through the wonders of engineering around the world. The movie highlighted how engineers shape our world and improve lives, from the tallest skyscrapers to the deepest tunnels.
Interactive Engagement
The experience extended into the theater lobby, where project display boards allowed students to explore the engineering concepts on display. ATCS and other participating organizations contributed to these exhibits and provided tangible examples of engineering achievements and ongoing projects.
