Client: Stafford County

Survey/safety study/engineering design/public outreach to reconstruct Berea Church Road, Stafford County, VA.

This $6M roadway improvement featured horizontal and vertical realignment, lane and shoulder width increases, and sight distance improvements. HECRAS analysis identified culvert size needed to mitigate floodplain impacts and avoid LOMR/CLOMR requirements—reducing project schedule.

Drainage improvements enable storm structures—inlets/pipes/culverts/roadway ditches—to handle peak discharges from major storm events. Stormwater management facilities like Bioretention facilities and SWM swales reduce pollutants entering the storm sewer systems to improve water quality.
