I-95 Southbound Auxiliary Lane (between Route 123 and PW Pkwy) is Open

This project was completed on a hyper-accelerated schedule as part of the I-95 Corridor Improvement Plan to create an auxiliary lane on southbound Interstate 95 from Route 123 (Gordon Boulevard) to Prince William Parkway (Route 294). The new roadway design provides traffic relief and safety improvements in a congested part of the I-95 corridor.

ATCS was key in development, early design, and approval of this high-priority project. ATCS also provided full service transportation design, ITS, lighting, signing/marking, materials, maintenance of traffic, traffic analysis, noise analysis, construction services, and public outreach on this project.

ATCS developed a 3D aerial simulation and virtual reality driving simulator that was presented at a public hearing and allowed the public to visualize the new roadway design. Check out the aerial simulation and virtual reality driving simulator videos below!
