ATCS Welcomes Jeff Smitley as Vice President, Buildings & Facilities Lead

Herndon, VA – ATCS is excited to welcome Jeff Smitley, LEED AP, as Vice President, Buildings & Facilities Lead.

In this role, Jeff will support the Construction Services Practice and lead our strategy to deliver building-related services and solutions to existing and new clients.

Jeff brings over 20 years of experience as a senior leader in large-scale commercial ground-up construction, renovations, real estate development, and energy projects with a background in construction management, project management, facilities management, energy efficiency, power generation, infrastructure, green buildings, and project finance.

Before joining ATCS, Jeff served as the Director of Construction Management for CBRE’s Principal Projects Group (PPG), which delivers projects across the U.S. in a turnkey model. He was responsible for leading all pre-construction and construction activities in this role. He served as the single point of contact for all construction work required to operationalize Amazon’s rural delivery sites throughout the U.S. Jeff provided leadership, guidance, and oversight for developing best-in-class end-to-end solutions while ensuring successful project delivery.

As an early champion of sustainable design and construction, Jeff led his first revolutionary green building project as the Project Director for Metro Health Hospital, where he conceptualized and directed the $150 million Metro Health Hospital replacement project, which became the second LEED-certified replacement hospital in the U.S.

Jeff majored in architectural engineering at Penn State University and sustainable business management at Aquinas College and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
